A large folk art painting on wood depicting the Swedish king Karl XIV Johan and his son Oscar. The king is pointing at the crown that the son will inherit one day. Both Karl XIV Johan and his son where originally French but where loved by the Swedish people and are often seen on folk art objects. In spite of beeing a soldier and a general he manage to keep Sweden out of war and that lead to a better economy. The Swedish school system for all childen where also launched during his reign (1818-1844)
